CHARLESTON, WV — Republican gubernatorial candidate Moore Capito announced today the formation of the West Virginia Business Council Advisory Board for his campaign. The Board will provide insights and strategies on how to continue West Virginia’s record setting economic success over the last few years.
“West Virginia is growing with people and opportunity. It is a far cry from the conditions we faced just seven years ago when I was first elected to the state legislature,” said Capito. “Our record setting economic success has allowed us to grow our job base and bring new industries and opportunities into our state. I am proud to play a role in our state’s success and excited to lead us to the next level.”
“This year we were able to deliver on the largest tax relief package in state history under the leadership of Governor Jim Justice. We are seeing population growth as new people are discovering life is better when it is a little Wild and Wonderful,” remarked Capito.
“The West Virginia Business Council is a growing team of experienced business executives that will provide recommendations and strategies to help grow our economy, create new jobs, and provide new opportunities. I will rely on the members to help me draft an agenda that focuses on energy, innovation, talent, and stronger communities,” concluded Capito.
“Moore Capito built the House GOP Supermajority as Chairman of the Republican Legislative Committee. He has been at the forefront in advancing conservative, pro-growth polices in the state legislature as House Judiciary Chair. He is exactly the fresh new leader our state needs to continue our growth and build new opportunities for West Virginians,” commented Zenovy Wowczuk.
